Lisbon will host the 3rd edition of Lx.Legal, an event organized by the Institute of Legal and Technological Innovation – Inov@Legal. From September 20 to 21, 2024, the event will bring together leading professionals and startups from the legal industry to discuss the future of justice, GovTech, legal tech, and governance. With over 20 speakers, Lx.Legal III promises to be a key reference point for all professionals committed to innovation in the legal sector.

In addition to debates on the challenges and skills of future legal professionals, the event will mark the launch of the “Certification in Legal Tech Management and Innovation Strategy” course. Lx.Legal continues to be a central forum for discussion and collaboration in the legal field, with the support of the Portuguese Ministry of Justice.

The program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities that the legal industry faces in the 21st century. Key sessions include debates on the Challenges of the Legal Ecosystem and the skills of future legal professionals, as well as insights into the role of technology in the sector.

“The conference aims not only to explore the current state of the legal industry but also to chart a path for its future,” explains Marisa Monteiro Borsboom, one of the conference organizers.

With over 20 speakers and participants from various sectors, including legal departments, law firms, compliance departments, universities, the judiciary, and politics, Lx.Legal III promises to be an essential event for everyone involved in the legal profession.

Lx.Legal III also marks the beginning of the first edition of the “Certification in Legal Tech Management and Innovation Strategy” course. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to actively engage with the course content and share their experiences, setting the stage for a dynamic exchange of ideas.

“In an increasingly digital world, it is crucial to advance inclusive programs and strategies, promoting digital literacy and ensuring that legal materials and justice outputs are aligned with the realities of citizens. Justice will be of no use if the people it serves do not understand it or cannot access it,” emphasizes Marisa Monteiro Borsboom.
